This is my Trauma Center OC, David Whittaker! The original lore I had for Davy is a little silly tbh…I decided, maybe he was also a doctor with the healing touch! But instead being Expelled from the fucking country the way Naomi was, it was just? A thing kept amongst the doctors at the hospital he used to work at. He wasn’t hurting anyone and he was a genuine fella who wanted to help folks. Who cares if has magic powers or some shit! That’s. Yeah! Okay cool! Yeah!

He was unfortunately roped into Delphi’s nonsense. Rhys Marwood, who worked at the hospital David worked at, was from Delphi, feeding them information about Davy - Rhys gets close to Davy - Davy gets fucking kidnapped. Taken as a hostage, because unlike Naomi, whose medical license was revoked and who was deemed a Freak by the country of Japan— Davy didn’t quite have any incentive to join them! So they just fucking. Yoinked him.

Davy’s life was at stake. It’s a guilt (no pun intended) he carries for the rest of his life— operating on patients being used as test subjects, being kept as a prisoner. Not knowing when or if he’ll ever return home. The disappearance of Davy Whittaker was a cold case for a bit of time! He wonders at times if he should have just let them kill him, instead of contributing to their plans.

Anyways! During the raid at Eidoth in chapter five of Second Opinion/Under the Knife, that’s when Davy is finally found and rescued. Davy, having been in a hostage situation rather than willingly being there, did manage to get out without much repercussion.

After an operation to save him from the GUILT he contracted, Davy was taken to a hospital to recover. He does attend therapy and he is…trying to heal. He has been hoping to re-enter the medical field, but he experienced something traumatic! Just being in the parking lot of a hospital, for a while, was enough to send him spiraling.
