Dolores Fuzzwing, known simply as Doll, Dolly, Dollie- grew up by the seas- of Barnacle Boatyard! A mix of a small town farm kid and a beach bum.

Doll is folksy and quaint. Southern Hospitality but without that condescending sort of "oh BLESS your heart" energy; they don't see a point in beating around the bush, much less lying or communicating via sarcasm or passive agressiveness. They're a bit blunt sometimes, but their heart is in the right place!

They're also unabashedly themselves- emotional almost to a fault, overexpressive whether they're excited, angry, or just plain sad. Doll often thinks and acts with their heart rather than their head; or maybe their head and heart may as well be one and the same. they're no idiot, but they do have a fool's bleeding heart, and tend to get in over their head at times.

Doll wants to see the good in everybody! Can't we just talk it out? This is both a good and a bad point about them- while they find no issue standing up for others, they might make excuses from time to time when it comes to people treating them poorly.

Doll joined the resistance out of obligation; their parents were rangers themselves. It's been hammered inro Doll's head that they NEED to fight for something. They NEED to stand for something if they want to matter, so why not join the resistance and have that something be the good of toonkind? However, Doll is slowly starting to learn that that Something to Stand For can just be treating people with grace no matter the circumstances of their upbringings. Not justifying their wrongdoings, but if possible giving them the chance to do right by others. You can't force someone to be good, sure, but if they're willing to put in the effort then Doll will vouch for them.

In their free time they like to bake, and theyve sure saved a pretty penny on gags because of it! Actually, I think they'd DIY MOST of their gags- just something that stems from their upbringing. Not much to spend, so you gotta work with what you have!

Doll has undiagnosed autism, as well as OCD and BPD. Their OCD mostly manifests in intrusive thoughts- unpleasant and downright vile things at times when they're having a bad interaction, followed by soul crushing guilt, because they absolutely do not agree with those thoughts! Absolutely not whatsoever!

It also takes form in a cacophony of what ifs- what if blowing up one of the cogs in the factory causes a chain reaction and they all explode and we die in a grease fire? Things like that.

Some of Doll's hyperspecific compulsions:

  • They need to use the EXACT same dishes and measuring cups each time they bake or it'll come out dirty or poisoned
  • Tea
  • Every time they see the number 36 ANYWHERE they're immediately cursed with bad luck; the only way to fix it is to count to seven in their head, because 7 is a lucky number and 36 is an unlucky number
  • Doing things in 7's in general (tapping their counter 7 times or bad thing will happen. flip the light switch 7 times. etc etc)
  • If they're scared they have to bite down on their index finger really hard, or whatever they're scared will happen is GOING to happen
  • If they have mean thoughts about anyone or anything ever they NEED to confess IMMEDIATELY and in EXCRUCIATING DETAIL (they've gotten better about not doing this but it still eats away at them for a bit)
  • They have to have the exact same amount of throw and squirt gags in their pouch at all times

Being happy is a toons' whole thing. They literally have a phenomenon called greening where you get too sad and can't do anything. Toons do not have the best idea on mental health- sympathy, but in a "sorry about that but why are you still sad? anyway" sort of way. Doll's at times manic and neurotic nature as well as their limited understanding of social cues makes them "weird"- even by toons' standards. Because of this, it is difficult for them to make friends.

Buck and Doll break the status quo when it comes to the dynamics between Toons and Suits. Both bounce off of one another quite well, with Doll's outgoing and friendly personality complimenting Buck's manic impulsivity. Doll certainly understands Buck's plight of being underestimated by peers; they find him endearing, rather than offputting. It's unconventional, but at this point, they don't care.

Vesper Bloodfang is Doll's best friend, and has been since they were young. The two have a strong platonic bond that most people don't quite understand.

Fedorable is another friend of Doll's- a bat toon hailing from Ye Olde Toontown, currently residing in Acorn Acres. He understands Doll's sympathy and kindness towards cogs!
